
I'm
teaching at Hubei University in Wuhan. Wuhan is a city of over 8 million
people in central China. It takes about 2 hours to fly north, east, or
south to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong respectively. The weather goes
from one extreme to the other. The week I got here it was just over 40c
and very muggy with it. In winter this dipped to below zero and it is now
approaching the 40s again.
I'm living on the green campus in one of the apartments for
foreign teachers. It's pretty basic, but it's quite spacious, it has a
microwave and plenty of hot water and air conditioning which also heats up the
place reasonably well. I also have a TV, but I never use it. I don't
even have it plugged in at the moment.
